Here are some photos of my visit to the Los Angeles County Fair. This is the biggest county fair in the United States and I assure you it is huge. It is like Disneyland. It is almost impossible to see everything in one day. This year I visited during the afternoon so there was not a lot of time to see everything. Anyway, we had a great time and wanted to share some photos with you guys.
Enjoy the pictures!!!!

You don’t see a pig like that every day in LA!
Where did they have the fair? Is it still going on? I will be in LA next week so I was just curious.

The fair takes place in Pomona (it was 50 miles from my house, maybe a little less from Los Angeles). It will run until October 2.

You know you are in southern california when the county fair sells veggie burgers. I love the left coast!

Caanan,
I have never heard anybody calling the east coast the left coast. That is so funny. And you are right about veggie burgers and healthy food. I live close to the beach and people are crazy for that type of food. I don’t see any restaurants offering unhealthy food succeding around here.

You don’t want to see the ones all over Puerto Rico.

Did not expect a pig to be roasted at any event in Los Angeles. That’s a pretty good collection of food.

I think the pig is more of an exhibition thing. I don’t think its served to the public. Hopefully somebody will eat it (when its well cooked).

You won’t get any of that down here in Casares, Nicaragua!
Now I AM hungry!

Are you visiting the town of Caceres or have you relocated there? Well, enjoy some Nicaraguan food for now.

Very tasty! I could go for an empanada right now. I didn’t realize that the LA fair was the largest in the country. Looks like a great time there.

Well, there is a catch. It is the largest county fair not the largest fair in the US. I think is the fourth largest fair. Anyway, the fairgrounds are huge. Like I said, one visit its not enough to see everything.

Yikes, I could never eat meat when I see the entire animal that it came from on display. But that bloomin onion sure is mouthwatering.
