The time has arrived. Next week, I will be embarking in my next adventure.
This time I will be traveling around El Salvador and Honduras for three weeks.
I am not a Central America newbie. This is going to be my sixth time in El Salvador (my husband is from there) and my first one in Honduras. After the trip, Nicaragua will remain the only Central American country not explored.
We will spend more time in El Salvador with family and friends. I don’t really have plans for the time that is going to be spent there. My husband is the one who has the plans. Seriously, I don’t know if this is good or bad. At least, I want to visit some natural spots and indulge in different types of foods. My husband wants me to try some exotic meat. Not sure if this is going to happen. I don’t really feel like trying armadillo or iguana. Well, I guess it can be worst (snake?).
What has me really excited about this part of the trip is the idea of helping those in need. We are planning to buy food, medical supplies, personal hygiene items and/or kid’s material. Hope we can make happy tons of adults and kids.
Then, we are moving to Honduras for a couple of days. We will start by visiting Copan. It should be an interesting experience since we are in 2012. I also plan to visit Macaw Mountain, stop by Hacienda San Lucas and do a hiking trip around the surrounding area. I don’t have anything reserved for this portion. The websites for hotels and tour operators in the area do not offer up to date information. Let me know if you have any tips on where to stay or eat.
Once we are done with this area, we are moving to San Pedro Sula where I already have reservations with Jungle Xpeditions. We are going to visit the country’s biggest waterfall, row in Lake Yojoa and hike in the rainforest.
Well, this is all for know. Expect everything related to the blog to move at a slower pace. I have some posts set up to go live but I am not sure how connected I am going to be. I find it really difficult to stay up to date (in terms of technology) when I am traveling. I don’t understand how digital nomads do it.
Ok, folks let me know if you have any recommendations for me.
See you soon!!

You haven’t been to Nicaragua?? It’s my favourite country in CA, you absolutely must go!
