GlassesShop.com: An Honest Review

I think most of us have heard (or has been asked) this question:  What three items would you take to a deserted island?

I know people who have been asked this question on interviews or behavioral tests.  It is used in jokes too.

Well, if I am asked this, I have an answer for at least one of the items. If I know I am going to be on that island, I need to take my glasses with me.

Call it being practical or realistic but I know what I cannot live without.

On a daily basis, I prefer to use contact lenses. However, when I am traveling, camping or exploring, I always keep my glasses with me.  Not in my luggage, not in my carry on but in a bag that it is not going to separate from me.  I deem them that important.

With time, I have got used to glasses.  Nowadays, it is fashionable to wear them.  The challenge is to acquire the glasses and take good care of them.  Let’s face it. They are not the cheapest need to accommodate.  I remember how much my parents struggled to get me a par every year (since the prescription was changing). Once, I sat over my metal glasses and my mom grounded me for two weeks.  As an adult, I have been in situations where the insurance covers them every two years. So, yes, I considered my glasses one of my most prized possessions.

Because of the reasons I have mentioned above, I was surprised when I was invited to review GlassesShop.com.

GlassesShop

This website offers trendy, high-quality, cheap glasses. Their aim is to provide a decent pair of glasses to all those who need it.  There are hundreds of styles to choose from.  The best part is the prices. A lot of frames are sold as low as $19.95 (lens packages are an additional $19.85).

Discovering all this was really exciting for me.  First, do you know how much I paid for my last pair of glasses (even with insurance)? Second, I already order my contact lenses from a reputable website.  It feels great to have the opportunity to get your eyeglasses online too.

Without hesitation, I proceeded to the GlassesShop website.  Once on the page, you search by gender, by frame, by material or by shape.

Purple is my favorite color.  Because of that, I wanted a frame on that color.  I decided on the Ardmore Rectangle – Black Purple.

After deciding on a frame, I selected a lens package (if prescription glasses are needed), entered my prescription, filled out my shipping information and placed the order.

Before I knew it, my new glasses were home.  I took the opportunity to have fun with them by creating some flatlays.  Oh, the places these glasses will go!
