During my most recent visit to the Aquarium of the Pacific, I heard a funny conversation between two ladies.
One of the members of the duo was directing her cell phone camera to a tank full of long, bizarre looking razorfish.
She kept complaining cause her photos weren’t coming the way she wanted.
“Oh, they move so fast,” she said aloud while moving her head in a disappointed way.
Her companion walked towards the tank to check what was going on.
“See, they keep moving up. Why they just can’t freeze for a second?”
“Honey,” said the other lady, “Remember they have to surface in order to breath.”
I had to make an effort to contain myself. I wanted to laugh hard. When fish got lungs?
After reading this story, you have to realize aquariums are not only for children. Who knows? Maybe adults need to visit places like these more often.
On a more serious note, I enjoyed my visit to this aquarium (I had not visited in ages). Most importantly, I learned about Pacific Ocean and its inhabitants. In addition, there were a lot of cool exhibitions and a lot of opportunities to interact with sea creatures.
My favorite finds? Colorful sea cucumbers, the sea dragons and lion mane jelly fish.

Great shots! My favorites are the penguins and jellyfish. I haven’t been to the Aquarium of the Pacific, however. I visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium a few years ago which was fantastic.
